Honest Review of Round Lab SPFs

I have a new skincare brand obsession! Round Lab… Have you heard of them? They are a renowned clean Korean Beauty Brand (AKA K-Beauty) from South Korea. They’re getting a lot of hype for their amazing formulations, and I can see why! Keep reading to see why I love their SPF’s. Round Lab SPF Review

About Round Lab

Round Lab focuses on using natural resources from the Korean Peninsula. Their ingredients are sourced from the East Sea, the Taebaek mountains, and Geomundo. Their products are known for being very gentle, causing little to no irritation, and being fragrance-free. They are safe and suitable for all skin types.
What I tried from Round Lab
I tested two products from Round Lab: the Birch Juice Lock Moisturizing UVLOCK SPF 45 and the Birch Juice Mild-Up UVLOCK SPF 50+. Both products have Birch Juice, which comes from the Birch Tree. The Birch Tree is known as the “queen of the forest”- they are tall and white. Their white skin can be preserved for over 1000 years and sheds layers that can be repurposed into paper. The trees’ roots, sap, and the mushrooms that live off these trees are often used for medicinal purposes. The Birch tree sap is harvested and used for its ingredients, including Lactic Acid, Amino Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, and Pyrolidone Carboxylic Acid. Birch Tree Sap nourishes the skin by decreasing inflammation, purifying and hydrating with its powerhouse minerals, enzymes, proteins, and antioxidants.

This reef-safe SPF moisturizes and provides a beautiful dewy/ glowy finish. It also blocks UV light so it’s great for indoor use as well as outdoor. It’s great for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

It has Birch Tree Sap, Glyceryl Glucoside (antioxidants to protect and prevent dehydration), Homosalate to absorb UVB rays to protect and prevent early skin aging, and Niacinamide to decrease hyperpigmentation, redness, eczema, acne, and other inflammation. I love how it’s more than just a SPF!

This SPF blends like a dream! It rubs in effortlessly and leaves your skin with a beautiful glow. I like how it wears most of all. It isn’t greasy like your typical SPF- it dries down and sits perfectly alone or under makeup.

Round Lab Birch Juice Mild-Up UVLOCK SPF 50+

ROUND LAB Birch Juice Mild-Up UVLOCK SPF 50 review

The Mild Up UVLOCK is a physical sunscreen that has ____% zinc. Zinc is one of my favorite skincare ingredients! I learned a lot about it when I was struggling with acne- it’s great for acne-prone skin! Zinc heals breakouts and protects the skin barrier. Using an SPF with zinc is great for acne-prone skin because it can protect your skin from scarring as badly from a breakout. I know many sunscreens that contain zinc feel way too heavy and don’t sit well under makeup, but this formulation is perfect alone or under makeup! The Mild-up SPF differs from the Moisturizing one because it dries down a bit more matte. This is great for oily skin because it helps control that pesky excess oil.

Mild-Up is also reef-safe. In addition to Zinc, it also has Glyceryl Glucoside to boost the skin’s defenses and Hyaluronic Acid which helps hydrate and plump. It’s great for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

This SPF takes a tiny bit more effort to rub in than the Moisturizing SPF, but it’s still very easy compared to most physical sunscreens!
