I know nothing about kids and was getting very overwhelmed with researching all of the items I’d need for my new baby girl. I decided to ask the experts- My Instagram audience- and boy did they come through! This is a list of all of their recommendations. You’ll still need to research exactly which item you’d like but this should give you a great start on the top baby items to purchase.
Strollers:
Strollers were probably the top recommendation- it seems that people are very passionate about them! Since there are the brands and specific ones from the brand, I left them all so you can review the most popular. A good tip I received was that if you plan on having more than one kid close in age, get a single to double stroller. Also, whatever stroller you get make sure it has a big basket below- it makes it much easier.

Breastfeeding/ food
Breastfeeding is a hot topic- apparently, a lactation consultant is a MUST before you try on your own. They also recommended two pumps- a portable one and a hospital-grade one for home. Hospital grade is important because you get better output with it. Also, be sure to check with your insurance because some of them are covered!
A lot of the moms recommended getting a couple of different brands of bottles and pacifiers at a time because you never know what bottle /nipple your baby will like.
European formula is far superior. It’s a good idea to order a couple of cans to have on hand. The most popular clean options were Kendamil Goat. Goat milk is genetically closest to breastmilk but cow is great too. They also said even if you plan to breastfeed to bring the formula you want for your baby to the hospital in case your milk supply doesn’t come in time.

A water bottle with a handle – If you are nursing, you need to drink a massive amount of water even in the middle of the night. The handle makes it much easier to drink while nursing
Ear plugs and sound machine to hospital. Hospitals are super noisy. Sound machine helps baby sleep and ear plugs help you.
Bring lots of healthy snacks to the hospital for you and your husband. Coconut water is great for nursing
